The Philosophy

A structured therapeutic approach, grounded in professional judgement and responsibility.

The Verity FrameworkOur Philosophy

Verity means truth

– the one value that cannot be performed, borrowed, or learned.
It must be lived.

My understanding of this did not come from textbooks. It came from the darkness of my own addiction and a moment of unexpected clarity in the silence of the mountains.

I realised that no framework or method could reach me until I was willing to face myself honestly.

That moment changed everything.

Years later, after training in the United Kingdom and working within some of the country’s most respected residential treatment settings, I became the kind of therapist I once needed during my own recovery.

Through that journey, a clear vision formed. Not to build another clinic, but to create a place where safety replaces pressure.

Where therapy is precise, human, and deeply respectful.

Where the environment itself supports the process of restoration.

Verity Mountain was built on that vision.

“I built the place I once needed myself.”

The VERITY Framework

Six Pillars of Restoration

At Verity Mountain, values are not declarations.
They function as the operating system behind every professional and operational decision.

V – Vulnerability

Restoration begins where performance ends. We cultivate an environment where no status, role, or persona is required. In this space, vulnerability is protected as the essential starting point for meaningful change.

E – Empathy

Our insight is rooted in lived experience. We do not view recovery as a theoretical concept, but as a lived reality. Here, your story is not merely analysed; it is understood with professional depth and
human presence.

R – Respect

We uphold the absolute dignity and autonomy of every individual. You are never reduced to a label, a past mistake, or anything other than the person you are.
Respect governs the silence we keep and the interventions we lead.

I – Integrity

We do exactly what we say. Honesty and ethical clarity are the non-negotiable foundations of our work. This consistency creates the psychological safety necessary for depth to emerge.

T – Truth

Transformation requires the courage to face reality. We facilitate a process of meeting the truth without distortion or avoidance. In the mountains, truth is never forced — but it is never diluted.

Y – You

The individual is the centre of the system, never its servant.
Your pace and your history define the journey. Our structure exists solely to support your return to self, never to override your agency.

Privacy as a Foundation

Privacy is not a feature — it is fundamental.

In the world of high-performance and public life, anonymity is the ultimate luxury.

At Verity Mountain, our secluded residency model is not a stylistic choice.
It is essential to how the environment functions.

By operating at a refined and intimate scale, we create the conditions for uncompromising discretion, a sense of stability, and focused therapeutic work.

Your presence here is protected with the same rigour as your experience.

This is not simply about closed doors — it is about protecting the sanctity of restoration.

The Custodians of Verity

The guardians of our professional integrity, ethical standards, and lived experience.

We do not simply provide therapy. We create the conditions in which meaningful change can unfold.

Our work at Verity Mountain is guided by recognised British standards and ethical practice.

“We understand the path — because we have walked it ourselves.”

Kristof Pilarz

Founder & Programme Director

“Recovery begins when someone finally feels safe enough to be honest.”

Kristof Pilarz founded Verity Mountain with a clear intention: to create a structured, high-integrity environment where real change can take place.

His work is informed by both lived experience and professional training in the United Kingdom, allowing him to understand the reality of addiction from both sides of the process. Alongside his training, he has worked within well-established residential treatment settings in the UK, supporting individuals through the realities of early change.

This combined perspective informs the foundation of Verity Mountain, where discretion, accountability, and human dignity are not ideals — but operating standards.

As Founder and Programme Director, Kristof defines the direction and integrity of the programme, ensuring that each element of the environment contributes to focused, consistent, and sustainable progress.

Verity Mountain was designed not as a place to stay, but as an environment where individuals can regain clarity, rebuild self-respect, and begin moving forward with direction and stability.
