Last updated: 21 June 2026

1. Our Approach to Confidentiality

At Verity Mountain, confidentiality is treated with the highest level of care and discretion.

All personal information shared with us — whether through enquiry, admission, or participation in the programme — is handled respectfully, securely, and in confidence.

2. What Is Kept Confidential

We treat the following as confidential:

  • personal details and contact information
  • information shared during the enquiry process
  • discussions within one-to-one and group sessions
  • any written or recorded material relating to your participation

Confidentiality extends to both individuals and families engaging with our team.

3. How Information Is Used

Information is used only where necessary to:

  • review suitability for the residential programme
  • support communication before, during, and after a stay
  • maintain an appropriate environment for all residents

We do not share personal information with third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes.

4. When Confidentiality May Be Limited

While confidentiality is a core principle of our work, there are situations where it may be limited.

These include:

  • where there is a risk of serious harm to you or another person
  • where disclosure is required by law
  • where safeguarding concerns arise
  • where coordination with external medical or professional services is necessary

In such cases, information is shared only on a need-to-know basis and handled with care.

5. Group Setting Considerations

Group sessions are an important part of the residential experience.

All participants are expected to respect the confidentiality of others.
However, confidentiality within a group setting cannot be absolutely guaranteed.

6. External Providers

Where medical or specialist input is required, this is coordinated through independent external providers.

Any information shared with those providers is limited to what is necessary and appropriate.

7. Data Protection

We handle personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

For more detail, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
